A. Summary

At The Vollrath Company, L.L.C. ("Vollrath" or "we"), we are committed to respecting your privacy. We recognize that when you choose to provide us with information about yourself, you trust us to act in a responsible manner. That's why Vollrath has established this online privacy policy ("Policy") for Vollrath's websites, including www.vollrathco.com and any associated and replacement sites, (collectively, the "Site").

This Policy is incorporated into and is a part of the Terms of Use of the Site. We encourage you to become familiar with the terms and conditions of both this Policy and the Terms of Use. By accessing and using the Site, you agree that you have read and understand this Policy, and you accept and consent to the privacy practices (and any uses and disclosures of information about you) that are described in this Policy.

This Policy applies only to activities Vollrath engages in on the Site and does not apply to Vollrath activities that are "offline," unrelated to the Site, or related to any other Vollrath site. You should note that a different privacy policy may apply to other parts of Vollrath's Site - for example, separate privacy policies may apply to pages for which an authorized user registers and logs in.

B. Incorporation of Safe Harbor Principles

The privacy principles in this Policy have been developed based on the following Safe Harbor Principles, which are followed by Vollrath with respect to the transfer of personal information from the European Economic Area and Switzerland to the United States:

For sensitive personal information, Vollrath will give you the opportunity to affirmatively and explicitly (opt-in) consent to the disclosure of the information to a non-agent third party or the use of the information for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by you.

Onward Transfer: Before we transfer your information to a third party, Vollrath will obtain assurances from those third parties that they will safeguard personal information consistently with this Policy.

Data Integrity: As described in more detail in this Policy, Vollrath only collects and uses personal information that is relevant for the purposes for which it will be used, and we take reasonable steps to ensure that such information is reliable for its intended use, accurate, complete, and current.

We will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding Vollrath's use and disclosure of your personal information by reference to the principles contained in this Policy, including the Safe Harbor Principles.

Vollrath's adherence to these Safe Harbor Principles may be limited (i) to the extent required to respond to a legal or ethical obligation; (ii) to the extent necessary to meet national security, public interest or law enforcement obligations; and (iii) to the extent expressly permitted by an applicable law, rule or regulation.

C. Children Under Age 13

Vollrath does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13). Children are not permitted to use the Site, and Vollrath requests that children under the age of thirteen (13) not submit any personal information to the Site. If you are under thirteen (13) years of age, then please do not use or access the Site at any time or in any manner. This information can be gathered when you send us an e-mail or when you complete request forms on the Site. We will use this information only to support your customer relationship with Vollrath. This includes responding to your requests, customizing your experience on the Site, communicating with you about your account and providing you choices about how to view and manage the products and services that you receive from Vollrath.

In all such cases, you choose whether to provide us with the personally identifiable information. Remember though that without browser cookies enabled you may not be able to take advantage of all our Site's features.

We may also use cookies and clear GIFs (also known as "Web beacons" and "1X1 GIFs") to gather and compile such information about you when you return to our Site so that we may better customize our services to you.

For instance, if you contact us by e-mail, we may use the personally identifiable information you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem. We may also use the information that we collect from or about you to analyze and improve the content, features, materials and opportunities that we make available on the Site, to notify you of changes made to the Site and new opportunities made available on or through the Site, to evaluate your needs and customize the Site content delivered to you according to those needs, to send you promotional materials that you request from us, and for other legitimate and lawful business purposes. If you contact us for support or assistance, we may use information that you provide or that we collect about you or your system for purposes such as verifying whether your system meets the minimum requirements needed to use the Site and other various services.

We also use the information collected through the Site for statistical purposes and for improving the Site. We may disclose your personally identifiable information to Third Parties for tracking purposes, to improve the functionality of the Site, to perform statistical and data analyses, and to deliver e-mails to you from us, including the free electronic newsletters and marketing-related emails described on our Site. However, you will have the choice to opt out of receiving newsletters and marketing emails for our services by either contacting us directly at http://www.vollrathco.com/privacy or through the "unsubscribe" link found at the bottom of our newsletters and emails. Additionally, if you provide Vollrath with content for publishing or feedback, we may publish your user name or other identifying data.

G. With Whom Do We Share Information That We Collect?

In addition to the uses mentioned or described above, or otherwise described in our Terms of Use, in the course of conducting our business, we may, as appropriate, transfer Collected Information, whether solicited or unsolicited, to our offices throughout the world, catalog and add such Collected Information to our databases, and transmit such Collected Information to our affiliates and contractors and, to the extent necessary to accomplish the purpose for which information was submitted, to other Third Parties.

We may from time-to-time utilize a number of trusted business and marketing partners in delivering the online media, content, materials and opportunities available on or through the Site to you. To the extent necessary for purposes of communicating with you or fulfilling your requests for our products or services, or your subscriptions to such media, content and materials, we may share information about you with these business partners. We may also produce reports on Site traffic or usage patterns and share these reports with our business partners and others, but the information contained in these reports is anonymous and does not allow identification of any specific individual.

We may also disclose personally identifiable information in order to respond to a subpoena, court order or other such request. Vollrath may also provide such personally identifiable information in response to a law enforcement agency's request or as otherwise required by law. Your personally identifiable information may be provided to a party if Vollrath files for bankruptcy, or there is a transfer of the assets or ownership of Vollrath in connection with proposed or consummated corporate reorganizations, such as mergers or acquisitions.

H. What Choices Do You Have?

When corresponding with Vollrath or our representatives, or when making a request for information or otherwise interacting with Vollrath or others through the Site, you choose what information to supply, what questions to pose and comments to make, whether you wish to receive further information, and by what method of communication such information should be delivered. Please take care to share only such information as is needed or that you believe is appropriate.

I. Other Web Sites

Vollrath is not responsible for the privacy policies of web sites to which it links. If you provide any information to such Third Parties, different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply. We strongly suggest you review such Third Party's privacy policies before providing any data to them. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of Third Parties. Please be aware that our sites, including the Site, may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by Third Parties. The information practices of those web sites linked to our site, or the Site, is not covered by this Policy. These other sites may send their own cookies or clear GIFs to users, collect data or solicit personally identifiable information.

J. Third Party Advertising

Advertisements that appear on the Site are sometimes delivered (or "served") directly to users by Third Party advertisers. Such advertisers automatically receive your IP address when this happens. These Third Party advertisers may also download cookies to your computer, or use other technologies such as JavaScript and web beacons to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. Doing this allows the advertising network to recognize your computer each time they send you an advertisement in order to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. In this way, they may compile information about where individuals using your computer or browser saw their advertisements and determine which advertisements are clicked. Vollrath does not have access to or control of the cookies that may be placed by the Third Party advertisers. Third Party advertisers have no access to your contact information stored on the Site unless you choose to share it with them. This Policy covers the use of cookies by Vollrath and does not cover the use of cookies or other tracking technologies by any of its advertisers.

K.  How Do We Protect Information Collected About You?

Vollrath takes commercially reasonable measures to secure and protect information transmitted via or stored on the Site and transmitted to and from the Site. Nevertheless, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot and do not guarantee that information that users of the Site may happen to transmit or otherwise supply, or that any communications or any electronic commerce conducted on or through the Site, is or will be totally secure. If you have registered for an account on the Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your user name and password for that account, and you are responsible for all uses of your password, whether or not authorized by you. You agree to immediately notify us of any breach of Site security, this Policy or the Terms of Use of which you become aware.
